Patrick T. Ryan

Managing Director, Clark Street Ventures

Patrick T. Ryan, has been in the healthcare and services field since 1980 and currently serves as Managing Director of Clark Street Ventures, a management advisory and investment partnership. Prior to Clark Street, Mr. Ryan served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Broadlane Group, a leading provider of cost management and supply chain solutions to the acute, post-acute and the outpatient service markets. In November of 2010 The Broadlane Group was acquired by MedAssets Inc., where Mr. Ryan served in the interim role of President of Spend and Clinical Resource Management, through the completion of the integration.

Prior to joining The Broadlane Group, Mr. Ryan served as Chief Executive Officer and Director of PolyMedica Corporation until its successful sale to Medco Health Solutions in October of 2007. PolyMedica, was the nation’s largest direct-to-consumer provider of blood glucose testing supplies and related services for people with diabetes. The Company served over 1,000,000 active patients throughout the United States. The Company’s portfolio included diabetic testing supplies, prescription drugs and other senior healthcare products. PolyMedica, under the well known Liberty brand, made it simple for patients to obtain their supplies and medications, while encouraging compliance with physician orders.

Previously, Mr. Ryan served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Physicians Dialysis, Inc., a nationwide network of dialysis clinics, from the Company’s inception in 2000 to its successful sale to Davita in 2004.

Mr. Ryan served as a Partner at Westways Ventures, a firm specializing in the strategic development of companies in the healthcare and consumer sectors, President and Chief Executive Officer of Principalcare Inc., a company specializing in women’s healthcare, President and Chief Executive Officer of ImageAmerica Inc., a publicly-traded company that provided multi-modality medical diagnostic imaging services, and Co-Founder and President of R.B. Diagnostics, a company providing diagnostic imaging services. Mr. Ryan began his career working for American Hospital Supply Corporation.

Mr. Ryan has served as a director for numerous private and public companies. Mr. Ryan is also active in the non-profit community, having served on numerous boards and is currently on the board of Avon Old Farms School and Atrius Health.

Mr. Ryan holds a B.A in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Rochester.
