Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Sean M. Healey is the Company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, a role he has served in since January 1, 2005. Prior to that time, Mr. Healey served as President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Healey has been a member of the Company's Board of Directors since May 2001. Prior to joining the Company in 1995, Mr. Healey was a Vice President in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department at Goldman, Sachs & Co. focusing on financial institutions. Mr. Healey holds a number of non-profit board positions, including serving as Co-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Peabody Essex Museum, and as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations; the Visiting Committee of the Harvard Law School; and the Board of Trustees of the International Game Fish Association. In 2006, Mr. Healey received a presidential appointment to serve on the President's Export Council, the nation's principal advisory committee on international trade. Mr. Healey received a J.D. from Harvard Law School and was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. He received an M.A., with First-Class Honours, from University College, Dublin, and an A.B. at Harvard College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

David Billings is responsible for the Company’s legal, regulatory, compliance and corporate governance functions.  Prior to joining AMG in 2014, Mr. Billings was a partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, where he led the firm’s investment funds practice in London, focusing principally on the representation of private investment funds and their sponsors.  He received a B.A. with high honors from the University of Virginia, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.  He received a J.D. from Harvard Law School and was awarded a Rotary Foundation scholarship at the University of Strasbourg.

Jay Horgen joined AMG in 2007 as Executive Vice President in charge of the Company’s New Investments effort, and became Chief Financial Officer in 2011. Prior to joining AMG, Mr. Horgen was a founder of Eastside Partners, a private equity firm. From 1993 to 2005, Mr. Horgen was an investment banker serving as a managing director in the Financial Institutions Group at Merrill Lynch and, prior to that, he worked as an investment banker in the Financial Institutions Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mr. Horgen received a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Yale University.

Christine Carsman oversees AMG’s legal, regulatory and compliance functions, and has primary responsibility for the Company’s regulatory affairs and legal and compliance support of AMG’s global operations and its Affiliates, which includes AMG’s Affiliate Legal and Compliance Program.  Prior to joining AMG in 2004, Ms. Carsman served as Vice President, Senior Counsel and Director of Operational Risk Management and Compliance at Wellington Management Company, LLP from 1995 to 2004.  Previously, she held positions as Deputy General Counsel at The Boston Company, Inc., and as an attorney at Sullivan & Worcester, LLP.  Ms. Carsman serves on the Board of Trustees for AMG Funds Family of Funds and is a Director of the AMG Pantheon Fund, LLC.  She Chairs the Board of Directors for AMG Funds plc, and serves on the Boards for a number of other AMG-related corporate entities.  Ms. Carsman is Vice Chair of the Board of Governors for the Investment Adviser Association (IAA), and is a member of the IAA’s Legal and Regulatory Committee, Chairing the Committee’s Regulatory Reform Working Group.  She received a B.A. from Simmons College and a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law.

Riz Jamal oversees AMG’s investments in new Affiliates, including the identification of prospective Affiliates worldwide and the structuring and execution of the Company’s investments in its partner firms. Prior to joining AMG in 2004, Mr. Jamal worked in the investment banking groups of Goldman Sachs & Co. and Salomon Smith Barney. Mr. Jamal received a B.S. from Boston College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Hugh Cutler is responsible for managing the company’s global distribution platform, including AMG’s centralized institutional and retail capabilities around the world.  Mr. Cutler joined AMG in 2017 and has over twenty years of experience in leading multi-region sales and marketing organizations across investment management firms including Barclays Global Investors Ltd, Legal & General Investment Management Ltd., and Och-Ziff Capital Management Group LLC. In these roles, he had leadership responsibilities spanning across a broad range of strategies, products, client types, and geographies. Mr. Cutler began his career as a consultant and actuary at Towers Perrin. Mr. Cutler is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in the United Kingdom and received a B.Sc. in Mathematics with First Class Honours from Bristol University.

Ali Lynn oversees AMG’s corporate and strategic communications globally, and also acts as chief of staff to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining AMG in 2009, she held roles in the global portfolio trading area of the institutional equity business, corporate strategy, and investment banking at Merrill Lynch & Co. Ms. Lynn received an A.B. from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from each of Columbia Business School and London Business School.

Nathaniel Dalton is the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company. He joined AMG as its first General Counsel, holding successive leadership positions within the firm until assuming his current role in 2011. Prior to joining the Company in 1996, Mr. Dalton was an attorney at Goodwin Procter LLP in Boston, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, including those in the asset management industry. During his tenure at Goodwin Procter, he represented AMG since the time of the Company’s formation in 1993.

Mr. Dalton is the founder, President and Chairman of the Board of Guard Support of Massachusetts, Inc. and serves as a Member of the Boston University Board of Overseers and as a Trustee of The Benjamin School. He received a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Peter MacEwen is Chief Administrative Officer, responsible for managing AMG’s corporate administration, information technology, and global facilities areas. John Erickson is a senior manager in AMG’s Affiliate Development group, working with Affiliates on operational and strategic matters. Prior to joining AMG in 2014, Mr. Erickson worked as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch for 15 years, most recently serving as a managing director in the Financial Institutions Group where he advised asset management clients on M&A and capital raising. Mr. Erickson received a B.A. in Economics cum laude from Middlebury College and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Tracy Soehle leads AMG’s Affiliate Support Team, principally responsible for overseeing global legal and regulatory compliance for AMG’s Affiliates in support of their businesses and operations, and also handles various legal and regulatory matters related to AMG’s legal functions and operations. Prior to joining AMG in 2007, Ms. Soehle was a senior compliance manager at State Street Global Advisors, and was previously a regulatory compliance manager at Wellington Management Company, LLP and an attorney at the law firm Dechert, LLP. Ms. Soehle received a B.S. from Boston College and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Tulane University Law School.

Meekal Hashmi oversees AMG’s global regulatory and compliance team supporting the AMG’s global distribution offices in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Dubai, Hong Kong, and Australia.  Prior to joining AMG in 2015, Mr. Hashmi was General Counsel, EMEA and Latin America, and Board Director at Neuberger Berman Europe Limited, and was previously General Counsel at Old Mutual Asset Managers.  Mr. Hashmi holds an LL.M. Degree from the London School of Economics and a B.S. from Edinburgh University.

Prior to joining AMG in 2008, Mr. Langille was a corporate attorney with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and then Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP, focusing primarily on mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Langille serves on the Board of Trustees of the Essex County Community Foundation. Mr. Langille received a B.A. from Colby College and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.

Prior to joining AMG in 2009, Mr. Maines was a partner at Deloitte & Touche where he was responsible for audit, tax and internal control services to Deloitte’s largest investment management clients and spent time in Tokyo and London serving in Deloitte’s Global Financial Services Industry practice.
